Compressor oils
Compressor oil is a specialized lubricant designed to meet the needs of compressors, where it not only reduces friction between moving parts but also effectively dissipates heat generated during compression. This type of oil has high thermal and oxidative stability, minimizing deposit formation, increasing compressor reliability, and extending its lifespan. Compressor oils often contain additives that protect against corrosion, foaming, and wear, ensuring smooth operation even under demanding conditions and high pressure.
There are two basic types of compressor oils:
Mineral compressor oils: Suitable for compressors operating at lower temperatures and pressures. They are cost-effective and mainly used in less demanding applications.
Synthetic compressor oils: Due to their chemical composition, they withstand high temperatures, prolonged stress, and harsh working conditions. They are more expensive but offer better performance and longer replacement intervals, making them ideal for industrial and heavy-duty operations.
