CASSIDA FLUID HF 68 is a high performance multi-purpose oil with high wear protection. The oil has been developed specifically for machines used in food and beverage processing and packaging. It is based on synthetic oils and selected additives carefully chosen for their ability to meet the stringent requirements of the food industry.

The product is NSF certified to ISO 21469 and registered as Class H1 (lubricants approved for incidental food contact). It meets the guidelines (1998) of the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Public Health Agency (USDA FSIS) and has been approved by USDA FSIS as Class H1 and published in the USDA FSIS Order No. 1419 "List of Proprietary Substances and Non-Food Compounds". 

The product contains only ingredients meeting US 21 CFR 178.3570, 178.3620 and 182 (components approved for incidental food contact).

In accordance with the requirements of US 21 CFR 178.3570, contact with food should be avoided where possible. In the event of accidental contact with food, the concentration of the product should not exceed 10 ppm (10 mg/kg food). In locations and applications where local legislation does not specify maximum concentration limits, it is recommended not to exceed the 10 ppm limit of CASSIDA FLUID HF. Up to this concentration level, the undesirable taste, odour or colour of the lubricant is not transferred to food and has no adverse health effects. In accordance with the manufacture, use only the necessary amount of lubricant and take appropriate measures to prevent excessive contact of the lubricant with food.

Based on the available information, CASSIDA FLUID HF 68 does not pose any risk to human health and safety when used for the recommended application and the principles of occupational safety and hygiene are followed. As with all oils, avoid prolonged and repeated contact of the lubricant with the skin.

Handling and storage

All food grade lubricants should be stored separately from other lubricants, chemicals and food away from direct sunlight and other sources of heat. Suitable storage temperature is 0 to 40°C. For
these conditions, the product can be stored and used for 5 years from the date of manufacture in the original packaging intact. Once opened, the product must be consumed within 2 years.

Make sure the container is clean before opening. It is recommended to clean it first with CASSIDA FLUID FL 5 and/or drinking water and dry it with a clean cloth.
