GLEITMO 980 is an air drying slip varnish with inorganic binders and solvent. It contains additives with high lubricating and separating effects given by specially processed polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). It forms a thin film on the treated surface with excellent separation properties and has good adhesion to most materials.

Applications

GLEITMO 980 is used for dry lubrication of various material pairs such as metals, plastics, rubber, wood and non-woven materials. As a clean sliding layer for goods that might be contaminated. It is used instead of oily or greasy lubricants in the textile industry, in the plastics industry for blinds, shutters, sliding doors and gates. For initial lubrication of sprayed plastic parts. For creaking and difficult to move friction points in wood, plastics or leather. As a mounting agent for rubber seals.

Applications

GLEITMO 980 is spray applied using low pressure air or high pressure airless spray equipment. Mixing equipment is recommended for storage tanks. For larger numbers of small parts, dip coating is economical. Brush or roller application is recommended only when spray or dip application is not feasible due to uneven film thickness.
