GLEITMO 980 is a solid film lubricantr with inorganic binders and solvent, air-drying. It contains additives with excellent lubricating and separating properties provided by specially processed polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). It forms a thin film on the treated surface with outstanding separation performance and adheres well to most materials.

Application

GLEITMO 980 is used for dry lubrication of various material pairings such as metals, plastics, rubber, wood, and nonwoven materials. It serves as a clean sliding layer for products that must remain contamination-free. It is used as a substitute for oily or greasy lubricants in the textile and plastics industries—for example, on blinds, shutters, sliding doors, and gates. Suitable for initial lubrication of sprayed plastic parts, as well as for creaky or hard-to-move friction points on wood, plastics, or leather. It can also be used as an assembly aid for rubber seals.

Method of Application

GLEITMO 980 is applied by spraying using low-pressure air or high-pressure airless spray systems. For supply tanks, a mixing system is recommended. For large quantities of small parts, dip application is economical. Application with a brush or roller is only recommended when spraying or dipping is not feasible, due to uneven layer thickness.
