Gleitmo WSP 5040 is a high-performance lubricant based on a premium special complex calcium soap and a synergistic combination of highly effective white solid lubricants.

Properties

• Service temperature range: -20 to +140 °C, as a screw paste up to 1200 °C,

• extremely high load-carrying capacity,

• low friction values,

• excellent wear protection,

• very good adhesion,

• very good corrosion protection and water resistance,

• protection against fretting corrosion,

• protection against stick-slip and seizing.

Areas of Application

GLEITMO WSP 5040 is used for all types of machine components under extreme pressure, shock loads, and/or vibrational or oscillating movements. It is particularly suitable for use in humid environments and under the influence of splashing water. It is applied to sliding pairs prone to stick-slip and seizing. It is also used in cases of low sliding speed, high pressure, and fretting corrosion. The lubricant is especially well suited for lubricating chucks and clamping elements.
 
Additionally, GLEITMO WSP 5040 has proven to be highly effective as an assembly paste and can also be used as a screw paste in high-temperature applications up to 1200 °C.
 

The lubricant contains a high proportion of solid lubricants and is therefore not suitable for lubricating rolling bearings.

Other typical applications include:
spindles, large valves, sliding guides, plain bearings, oscillating pins of construction machinery, spherical plain bearings, stainless steel fittings, and similar applications.
